During a raid near the railway crossing, Gulberg police seized over eighty kilograms of unhygienic chicken meat and arrested two suspects identified as Anwar and Kamal. The operation was carried out with the Sindh Food Control Authority after a tip off about dead poultry being stored in the warehouse.

Officials found spoiled meat and whole dead chickens ready for supply to food outlets. The suspects reportedly admitted during interrogation that they had been selling such meat to various eateries across Karachi.
