A tragic incident in Raiwind has shocked the nation after two young brothers from Kot Radha Kishan were brutally killed in a dispute over Rs4,970 in change while buying bananas. Wajid, 22, and his brother Rashid had stopped at fruit sellers near Rohi Nala to purchase bananas priced at Rs130 a dozen.

The brothers only had a Rs100 note and a Rs5,000 note and requested change, but the fruit seller refused. When they asked him to reduce the number of bananas, an argument broke out, which quickly escalated into violence.

According to a viral video circulating online, Rashid was seen cradling his bleeding brother when a young man armed with a cricket bat charged at him and struck his head. Wajid died on the spot, while Rashid was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries the following day.

Funeral prayers for the brothers drew thousands of mourners. Wajid was unmarried, while Rashid left behind five children. Locals condemned bystanders for filming the assault instead of intervening to help and demanded justice for the victims.

Police confirmed the arrest of the attacker, identified as Taimur, who has been booked under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code for intentional murder. Authorities are searching for the other fruit sellers who took part in the assault.
