Rain Coming to Sindh, Punjab, KP, and More Areas This Week

A westerly wave is bringing widespread rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms to Pakistan from May 7–12, with alerts issued across all provinces.

Storms Sweep Islamabad and Rawalpindi as Widespread Rain Hits Pakistan

Rain and thunderstorms are expected in Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpur Khas, Khairpur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Sanghar, Umerkot, and Mithi from the evening of May 8 to May 10.

Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan:

The system will bring intermittent rain to Kashmir until May 12, and Gilgit-Baltistan from May 8 to 12, with occasional breaks.

Punjab and Islamabad:

Rain, windstorms, thunderstorms, and isolated hailstorms are expected across Punjab and the federal capital Islamabad until May 11, particularly in southern Punjab districts from May 8 to 10.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:

Multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive rain until May 12, again with occasional gaps.

Balochistan:

Rain is forecasted in parts of Balochistan until May 10.

The Met Office has advised citizens to take precautionary measures and stay updated with local weather alerts during this period of unsettled weather.
