The number of registered voters in Pakistan has surpassed 134 million, according to the latest statistics issued by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
The updated electoral roll, released on July 1, 2025, is part of the commission’s preparations for the forthcoming general elections.
As per the data, the total number of voters now stands at 134,428,577. Of these, 72,124,209 are men, making up 53.65% of the electorate, while 62,344,368 are women, accounting for 46.35%. Although overall participation is growing, the gender gap in voter registration remains a concern.

The provincial breakdown reveals that Punjab continues to dominate with the highest number of registered voters at 76,563,243, a figure consistent with its population size.
Sindh ranks second with 28,172,274 voters, followed by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) with 22,874,402. Balochistan has registered 5,613,371 voters, while the Islamabad Capital Territory has 1,207,287.
The ECP stated that the revised figures reflect its commitment to ensuring an updated and transparent voting database. Officials added that efforts are ongoing to encourage greater female registration and ensure inclusion across all regions.
