Punjab is facing severe floods after India released water into eastern rivers. The Pakistan Army has been sent to help with rescue and relief efforts. Over 210,000 people have been safely evacuated from flooded areas, and no deaths have been reported so far.
Authorities carried out a controlled explosion at Qadirabad Dam to reduce water pressure, which caused the Kartarpur temple area to be submerged. Around 100 people were rescued from the site by boats. People living near the Chenab, Ravi, and Sutlej rivers have been asked to move to safe places immediately.
