The Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) strongly criticized a recent raid by the Quetta administration, claiming it was in response to a speech delivered by the party’s chairman, Mahmood Khan Achakzai. The raid aimed to reclaim a piece of government-owned land near Mr. Achakzai’s residence, alleged to be illegally occupied by him. The party condemned the action, stating it was orchestrated by state institutions following Mr. Achakzai’s critical remarks in the National Assembly. Despite the raid, PkMAP affirmed its commitment to upholding constitutional principles and announced nationwide protests against the Quetta administration’s move.
In a press conference, PkMAP Secretary General Abdul Rahim Ziaratwal denounced the raid on Mr. Achakzai’s residence and announced plans for protest demonstrations across the country. He emphasized that the party would not waver in its stance despite such actions by certain individuals and institutions. Mr. Ziaratwal, along with other party leaders, alleged that the raid was a retaliatory measure by state entities triggered by Mr. Achakzai’s recent speech in the National Assembly. Expressing concerns about potential arrests, he highlighted PkMAP’s consistent support for constitutional supremacy and the rule of law
