Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has adjusted its international flight routes to Toronto, Paris, and several Gulf nations due to restrictions over Iranian airspace following recent tensions in the region.

According to an airline spokesperson, the changes were introduced on Friday to ensure passenger safety and maintain operational continuity amid growing instability linked to Israeli military actions.

Flights to Gulf destinations such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain are now navigating through Omani airspace via the Muscat Flight Information Region.

Long-haul flights to Western cities, including Toronto and Paris, have also been redirected through alternative air routes, bypassing Iranian airspace and shifting to paths over Oman.

PIA confirmed that all updated routes comply with international aviation safety standards and are being closely monitored. The airline reassured passengers that despite the adjustments, schedules remain largely unaffected, and efforts are being made to minimise delays.
