Eligibility Criteria for Cadet Pilots

PIA has outlined strict eligibility requirements for applicants:

  • A valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)

  • A minimum of 200 flying hours

In addition to meeting the technical qualifications, selected candidates will need to submit a financial bond worth $15,000, committing to the program’s terms and training requirements.

Parallel Drive for Experienced Pilots

In a parallel initiative, PIA also announced plans to recruit 20 experienced commercial pilots, in a bid to fill gaps in its cockpit crew. The airline is currently undertaking a broader operational restructuring to resume international routes and restore service efficiency.

Interested candidates who meet the specified criteria have been advised to submit applications to the PIA HR department within 15 days from the announcement.

This dual recruitment effort signals a critical phase in PIA’s ongoing reforms and fleet revitalization strategy, as it seeks to regain its footing in global aviation markets.PIA
