Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has officially launched a major recruitment campaign under its Cadet Pilots Program, aiming to induct 24 new cadet pilots as part of its efforts to strengthen its operational capacity and address pilot shortages.
According to the official notification issued by the national flag carrier, successful applicants will be hired on a two-year contractual basis, providing young aviators a rare opportunity to launch their careers with Pakistan’s leading airline.

Eligibility Criteria for Cadet Pilots
PIA has outlined strict eligibility requirements for applicants:

A valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)

A minimum of 200 flying hours
In addition to meeting the technical qualifications, selected candidates will need to submit a financial bond worth $15,000, committing to the program’s terms and training requirements.
Parallel Drive for Experienced Pilots
In a parallel initiative, PIA also announced plans to recruit 20 experienced commercial pilots, in a bid to fill gaps in its cockpit crew. The airline is currently undertaking a broader operational restructuring to resume international routes and restore service efficiency.
Interested candidates who meet the specified criteria have been advised to submit applications to the PIA HR department within 15 days from the announcement.
