ISLAMABAD: Petrol and diesel prices in Pakistan are expected to see another upward revision in the upcoming fortnightly review scheduled for July 16, 2025. The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has completed its preliminary calculations based on international oil market trends and is set to submit its summary to the Ministry of Finance tomorrow.
According to reports, the Ministry of Finance will finalize the new prices after consultations with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The revised rates, once approved, will be effective from July 16 to July 31, 2025.

Current Fuel Prices (as of July 1):

Petrol: Rs266.79 per litre (↑ Rs8.36)

Expected Fuel Prices from July 16:

Petrol: Likely to rise by Rs6.26, reaching Rs273.05 per litre

If approved, these hikes in petrol and diesel will likely lead to a rise in transport fares, including train and bus services, and cause a ripple effect on the prices of essential commodities across the country.
The Ministry of Finance will announce the final decision on petroleum prices after reviewing OGRA’s recommendations and market conditions.
