Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has introduced significant fare reductions on select international routes in an effort to attract more passengers ahead of the summer season.

The national carrier has offered a 50% discount on flights between Pakistan and three Saudi cities: Dammam, Riyadh, and Al-Qassim. According to a PIA spokesperson, the offer is effective immediately and will remain available until 9 June. Passengers can book their discounted tickets for travel within the promotional period.

In a separate move aimed at boosting travel to Europe, PIA has also introduced a 15% discount on its Lahore–Paris route. This limited-time offer is valid for bookings made until 9 June, with travel dates set between 18 June and 2 July 2025.

These initiatives are part of the airline’s broader strategy to encourage international travel and strengthen its presence on long-haul routes. The announcement comes shortly after PIA resumed its operations to France, marking its return after more than four years. The airline recently operated flight PK-749 to Paris, signaling a renewed commitment to its European network.

Officials hope that the discounted fares will appeal to travelers planning family visits or vacations abroad, particularly to destinations in Europe and the Middle East.

The national airline, which has faced various operational and financial challenges in recent years, is looking to rebuild passenger confidence by expanding services and offering competitive pricing.
