The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has announced new airport projects in Pakistan, including the construction of new airports in Mirpur (Azad Kashmir), Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan), and Hyderabad, along with the reconstruction of Sukkur Airport.
According to officials, the Mirpur Airport feasibility report is in its final phase, promising improved air travel connectivity in Azad Kashmir. In DI Khan, land acquisition has started, aiming to solve longstanding travel and air accessibility issues in southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The PAA also revealed plans to rebuild Sukkur Airport and develop it into a regional air hub in Sindh, boosting airport infrastructure in northern Sindh.
In Hyderabad, authorities have ordered the resumption of commercial flight operations, while also planning an aviation training school in Hyderabad to support aviation industry skill development in Pakistan.
These new airport developments in Pakistan reflect the government’s aim to expand domestic air connectivity, improve regional air travel infrastructure, and enhance economic and tourism growth across the country.
