In light of growing regional unrest following Israeli airstrikes, Pakistan has introduced urgent measures to protect its citizens currently in Iran, particularly those undertaking religious pilgrimages.
Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar announced on Wednesday that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has established a 24/7 Crisis Management Unit. The unit will monitor the evolving situation and provide continuous support to Pakistani nationals, especially pilgrims.
Dar affirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens abroad during periods of heightened instability. He added that the crisis unit would remain fully operational to assist in emergencies and offer timely information.

Pakistan’s Embassy in Tehran has also been directed to provide maximum assistance to the Pakistani community and visiting pilgrims. A dedicated helpline has been issued for those needing immediate support: +98 21 66941388.
These precautionary steps follow increased tension in the Middle East, as Iran has promised a strong response to recent Israeli military actions. Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued warnings of serious consequences, raising concerns for the safety of foreign nationals in the country.
