The government has unveiled Pakistan’s first National Youth Employment Policy, aimed at creating large-scale opportunities for young people both domestically and internationally.
Prime Minister Youth Program Chairman Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan announced the policy during a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Iqbal, outlining a package of ambitious measures.
The policy includes overseas employment opportunities for 1.8 million youth, registration of new businesses, district-level employment exchanges, and to promote green jobs.
Rana Mashhood said countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the US, Turkey, and Belarus have agreed to provide employment opportunities for Pakistani skilled workers abroad.
He emphasized that the policy covers all categories of youth, whether studying in schools and universities or currently outside the education system entirely.
