The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority has announced a reduction in the price of liquefied petroleum gas for domestic consumers. The adjustment will provide some relief to households already burdened by rising energy costs.

According to the official notification, the price of LPG has been lowered by Rs6.70 per kilogram. The new rate is Rs207.48 per kilogram, compared with Rs214.19 per kilogram in September.
This cut has also affected the cost of domestic cylinders. The price of a standard cylinder has dropped by Rs79.14, bringing it down to Rs2,448.33 from last month’s Rs2,527.47.
The revision is part of Ogra’s monthly review of fuel prices, which reflects changes in international market trends and aims to stabilize costs for consumers.

Officials said the revised prices will remain in effect for October, and any future changes will depend on global LPG market rates. They added that the reduction is expected to ease pressure on households, especially in areas where LPG is the main source of cooking fuel.
