An objection has been raised against the nomination papers of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari for the NA-127 constituency in Lahore. The objection pertains to the affiliation mentioned in his nomination papers, where he is associated with the Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians (PPPP) despite being the chairman of PPP. The objection, submitted by Mohammad Ayaz, highlights the distinct party symbols of PPP and PPPP, emphasizing that an individual can only be a candidate from one party as per the Election Act 2017.

The objection states that this discrepancy constitutes a violation of the Election Act. It is important to note that the scrutiny of the PPP leader’s nomination papers is scheduled for December 28. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has also submitted his nomination papers for the NA-194 Larkana, Sindh constituency. In a separate development, the nomination papers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif for the NA-130 constituency of Lahore were accepted.
