A heartbreaking incident took place in Kalaske, Wazirabad, where a young bride named Rukhsar was allegedly killed by her in-laws after being forced to drink acid. Rukhsar, a resident of Gujranwala, had recently married Altaf from Kalaske on September 12, 2025.

Her family claimed that after she returned to her in-laws’ home, they became angry because she did not bring clothes in her dowry. Rukhsar was reportedly taunted by her husband’s mother, Ghulam Zohra, and her brother-in-law. Her brother later told the police that both Altaf Hussain and his mother forced his sister to consume acid.

Rukhsar was immediately taken to the District Headquarters Hospital in serious condition. Despite efforts by doctors to save her life, she passed away from her injuries.

The Ahmad Nagar Chattha Police have arrested Altaf Hussain and his mother, Ghulam Zohra. However, Altaf denied the accusation, claiming that Rukhsar drank the acid on her own. The police have begun a full investigation into the case.
