Nawaz Sharif Urges Immediate Relief for Public Amid Rising Fuel Prices

Pakistan Muslim League–Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has called for urgent relief measures to address rising petroleum prices, urging the government to prioritize public welfare during a high-level party meeting held in Murree.

The strategic session was attended by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, and other senior leaders of the party. The meeting focused on the country’s political and economic conditions, especially the burden of fuel prices on ordinary citizens.

Nawaz Sharif praised the efforts of both the federal and Punjab governments, acknowledging the performance of Prime Minister Shehbaz and Chief Minister Maryam. He emphasized that more proactive steps should be taken to protect the public from inflationary pressure and rising utility costs.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, while briefing the leadership, noted encouraging signs in the national economy. He attributed the improvement to consistent reforms and policy implementation by the federal government.

The PML-N leadership reiterated its commitment to governance reforms, economic stability, and delivering tangible relief to the public amid ongoing economic challenges.
