Islamabad: At least 10 people lost their lives and 13 others were injured in various rain-related incidents across the country over the past 24 hours, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) reported on Tuesday.

According to official data, the latest fatalities include four deaths each in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and two in Gilgit-Baltistan. The injuries were reported from Punjab (7), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (2), Azad Kashmir (1), and Islamabad (3).

The NDMA further stated that from June 26 to July 23, the ongoing monsoon season has claimed the lives of 252 people, while 611 others have been injured in weather-related accidents, including house collapses, electrocutions, and flash floods.

During the same period, 1,005 houses have been damaged, either partially or completely, and 328 livestock have been reported lost, reflecting the widespread impact of the torrential rains across both urban and rural communities.

The NDMA has assured that it is actively coordinating relief and rescue operations with provincial and district disaster management authorities. “We continue to monitor the situation closely and provide all necessary support to local administrations,” the authority said in a statement.

The agency has urged citizens to follow weather advisories, avoid unnecessary travel in vulnerable areas, and report emergencies promptly to local authorities.
