According to South DIG Asad Raza, an inquiry has been ordered to investigate the allegations. The officer was part of the same polio team as the victim, and she claims he first obtained her contact number from the team’s WhatsApp group and began sending her messages, proposing marriage.

The victim told police that the constable later took her to a guest house where he raped her, and as a result she became pregnant. She further alleged that although the constable is aware of the pregnancy, he has refused to marry her.
