Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has publicly praised Punjab Police for their professionalism after being fined for a traffic violation in Lahore.
In a message posted to his Instagram story, Mr Safdar said he was impressed by the officers who stopped his car, wishing them safety both on and off duty.
His statement followed a routine traffic check in Johar Town, where he was issued a challan for having tinted windows — a violation of local regulations.
A traffic police official confirmed that the fine was issued according to standard procedure, stressing that “no one is above the law.” The incident was part of regular enforcement efforts by the traffic police.
