Journalist Raja Matloob Dies in Islamabad Road Accident

The accident took place on Srinagar Highway near the G-11 sector of the capital. According to initial reports, the crash happened due to over-speeding, which caused the vehicle to lose control. Raja Matloob suffered serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Sadly, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Pakistan’s media community is in deep shock after the sudden death of well-known digital journalist and anchor Raja Matloob Tahir. He passed away on Sunday, December 14, 2025, following a tragic road accident in Islamabad. His untimely death has left colleagues, friends, and followers heartbroken.

The accident took place on Srinagar Highway near the G-11 sector of the capital. According to initial reports, the crash happened due to over-speeding, which caused the vehicle to lose control. Raja Matloob suffered serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Sadly, doctors declared him dead on arrival.

Raja Matloob was widely known for his strong presence in digital media. He worked as an anchor and journalist with the online platform Daily Pakistan. Through his shows and social media content, he often spoke openly on public, political, and social issues. His bold style and honest opinions earned him a large audience, especially among young viewers.

Beyond his on-screen work, Raja Matloob was respected as a supportive colleague and a guide for emerging journalists. Many young media professionals considered him a mentor who encouraged fearless and responsible journalism.

His funeral prayer was offered on December 15, 2025. A large number of journalists, media figures, and close friends attended the ceremony to pay their last respects. Renowned anchors such as Waseem Badami and Iqrar-ul-Hassan were also present, reflecting the impact Raja Matloob had within the media industry.

Following his death, tributes poured in across social media. Fellow journalists praised his dedication, courage, and commitment to truth. Many described him as a sincere professional who always stood for public interest.

Raja Matloob’s passing is a great loss to Pakistani journalism. His voice may be gone, but his work, passion, and influence will continue to be remembered by those he inspired.
