Islamabad Shuts Down Iconic Parks

Islamabad, August 12, 2025 — The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has ordered the closure of several popular public attractions in the federal capital for the entire day on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

According to an official notification issued by the District Magistrate’s office, the sites affected include Lake View Park, Daman-e-Koh, Pakistan Monument, and Shakarparian. The directive is part of a series of administrative measures being implemented in the city.

Authorities instructed to enforce the closure include the Chief Commissioner’s Office, Islamabad Police, Capital Development Authority (CDA), and the Metropolitan Corporation of Islamabad. The administration has not disclosed the specific reason for the one-day closure but emphasized that the order must be strictly enforced.
