The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police has introduced a new mobile application named 1INFO, aimed at enhancing public safety and improving communication between citizens and law enforcement.

The initiative, launched under the guidance of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, is part of a broader push towards digital policing in the capital.

According to a police spokesperson, the app is now available for download via the Islamabad Police’s official website, the Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.

The 1INFO app offers two key features. The first is an emergency panic button, which lets users instantly request help from the police. Once the button is activated, a rescue team is alerted and dispatched to the user’s location without delay.

The second feature allows users to share information with the police. Citizens can send voice notes, images, or videos to report suspicious activity, share crime tips, or raise public safety concerns—anonymously if preferred.

Officials described the app as a major step forward in bridging the gap between the police and the community. It is designed to ensure faster response times and empower residents to contribute directly to public security.

The police have encouraged all Islamabad residents to install the 1INFO app, emphasizing that faster reporting can play a vital role in preventing incidents.
