KARACHI – In a major move to shield low-income households from soaring electricity bills, the Sindh government has announced a free solar panel scheme for consumers using less than 100 electricity units per month.

Under this initiative, 130,000 families across the province will receive home solar systems. The goal is to ease the financial burden on underprivileged citizens while promoting the shift towards clean and renewable energy sources.

To qualify, applicants must have consumed less than 100 units per month for the past six months and must not have previously benefited from any government solar scheme.
