Pakistan is expected to experience a fresh spell of widespread monsoon rains over the next eight days, with the Meteorological Department (PMD) and National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) issuing alerts for flash floods, urban flooding, landslides, and transport disruption across multiple regions.
According to the PMD, the ongoing rain spell will continue until July 5, followed by a new wave of westerly winds entering northern regions on July 6, likely to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall across Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Punjab, Balochistan, and Islamabad until July 10.
