Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony has announced that applications for Hajj 2026 will open on Monday, August 4, with the collection of dues commencing the same day.
According to ministry spokesperson Muhammad Umar Butt, the registration process will operate on a “first-come, first-served” basis for already registered applicants, who must deposit their first installment between August 4 and 9 through designated banks or the official online portal.

If seats remain available, new applicants will be able to submit applications from August 11 to 16. The collection of dues will be halted immediately once all available seats are filled, the spokesperson added.
The Hajj 2026 package is expected to cost between Rs 1.15 million and Rs 1.25 million, inclusive of the mandatory sacrificial offering (Dam-e-Shukr). The second installment will be collected starting November 1.
In a significant policy change, the ministry has removed the previous age cap and restrictions on performing Hajj multiple times, allowing broader participation. However, children born after March 1, 2014, will remain ineligible.
Umar urged all prospective pilgrims to submit applications promptly within the given timeframes to secure their seats.
