A Metro Bus accident in Islamabad resulted in the death of a security guard on Monday morning. The tragic incident happened at Shaheed-e-Millat Metro Station where the guard was reportedly run over by the bus. He died at the scene, and his body was taken to a local hospital. Officials have yet to confirm his identity or provide further details.

In a separate and more alarming incident, an explosion on a railway track near Sultankot caused part of the Jaffar Express to derail. The train, travelling from Peshawar to Quetta, was struck mid-journey, injuring at least one passenger. Three bogies were derailed as a result.

The Divisional Transportation Officer (DTO) confirmed that relief work was ongoing. Rescue workers were deployed to the site to assist affected passengers and repair damaged track infrastructure.

Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah took immediate notice of the blast and has demanded a complete inquiry. He was also updated on disruptions caused to other train services across the region.

Due to the damage, authorities have suspended the Sukkur Express’s route to Jacobabad, and it will now terminate at Sukkur Station. In reverse, the train from Jacobabad will also begin its journey from Sukkur. The Jaffar Express service from Quetta to Peshawar has been cancelled until further notice.
