A judicial magistrate in Quetta has ordered the exhumation of a woman’s grave in connection with an alleged honour killing in Balochistan. The decision follows a police request and will be carried out under the magistrate’s supervision to ensure a transparent investigation, according to ARY News.
The case gained national attention after a disturbing video surfaced online, reportedly filmed during Eid al-Adha, showing the brutal killing of a man and woman by armed men. The Balochistan government quickly responded, registering a state-led case.
Shahid Rind, spokesperson for the Balochistan government, said that those seen in the video were identified through NADRA records. Although their identities have been confirmed, authorities have not yet released their names.
