The federal government has announced more than 3,200 new vacancies in the Federal Constabulary, opening the door for young men and women across Pakistan to join the police force.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the recruitment drive is open to applicants from all provinces, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The posts are for Constable (BPS-07), with both male and female candidates eligible to apply.

Applicants must be between 18 and 22 years old and hold at least an Intermediate (FA/FSc) or equivalent qualification. Physical standards, including height, chest measurements for males, and a running test, are part of the eligibility criteria.

The recruitment process will take place in multiple stages, starting with physical tests, followed by a written exam featuring multiple-choice questions. Shortlisted candidates will then appear for interviews and document verification. Officials added that the recruitment policy has been updated this year to ensure fair and transparent hiring.

In terms of allocation, Punjab, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan will each receive 20% of the posts, while separate quotas have been reserved for Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and Islamabad.

Selected candidates will be provided with uniforms and basic equipment, while the ministry stressed that the new induction would not only strengthen the Federal Constabulary but also create meaningful opportunities for Pakistan’s youth to serve in uniform.
