A sudden fire erupted in Islamabad’s G-9 corporate tax office building on Wednesday, triggering an immediate emergency response and evacuation efforts.

Fire brigade teams arrived quickly and began tackling the flames. Three staff members who were stranded on the rooftop were rescued safely by the firefighters.

Fortunately, there were no injuries reported in the incident. Rescue officials said the fire was eventually contained and efforts to cool the area continued into the evening.

Officials stated that the exact cause of the fire was still unknown. An inquiry is expected to be carried out to investigate the possible source of the blaze.

The building houses various tax departments and is regularly visited by citizens for documentation and financial matters. The fire disrupted operations for the rest of the day.

As a precaution, authorities cordoned off the building and surrounding streets while emergency teams completed their work. Heavy smoke in the area also raised concerns among residents and passersby.

While damage to the building was visible, officials assured that key data was safe. Many departments now use cloud-based backups and secure digital storage systems.
