The mystery over who manages the official X (formerly Twitter) account of Imran Khan has intensified after the former prime minister refused to disclose the name during questioning by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
A three-member cybercrime team, led by Ayaz Khan, visited Adiala Jail on Thursday to interrogate the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder about alleged anti-state posts made from his account. According to sources, the team pressed Khan on who operates the account, where it is being accessed from, and who holds login credentials.
Khan, however, remained firm. He declined to name the handler, instead demanding a written questionnaire and the presence of his lawyers before responding further. The FIA team stayed for more than an hour before leaving without clarity.

The episode comes after the official X account of PTI quoted Khan criticising a leaked Commonwealth report on the February 8 general election, alleging massive fraud. Khan blamed Chief Election Commissioner Sikandar Sultan Raja for “facilitating vote theft” and invoked Article 6 against those responsible.
He also praised former Rawalpindi commissioner Liaqat Ali Chattha for his earlier claims of election rigging and lauded judges who resisted the 26th Constitutional Amendment. Khan further urged PTI lawmakers to resist intimidation, calling the current system “the Asim Law.”
