Pakistan will receive Rs350 million in emergency assistance from the European Union to help victims of the recent floods. The aid will focus on immediate relief, including health care and financial support for the most vulnerable groups.
The EU said the funds would be distributed through humanitarian organizations with proven delivery capacity. It also expressed condolences to families who lost relatives and solidarity with the wider communities affected by the disaster.
The devastating floods, triggered by monsoon rains, have claimed lives, displaced families, and damaged infrastructure across multiple regions.
The Vice President of the EU also called Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar to convey sympathy and assure support in relief and rehabilitation.
The Foreign Office confirmed Dar thanked the EU for standing by Pakistan, stressing that the country remains among the hardest hit by climate change.
