New Zealand has four representatives, including Player of the Tournament Rachin Ravindra, while Afghanistan has two players making the cut.
Rachin Ravindra’s outstanding performances at the top of the order, including two centuries and a total of 263 runs, secured his place.
His innings of 112 against Bangladesh and 108 in the semi-final against South Africa were particularly noteworthy.
He is joined by Ibrahim Zadran, who made an impact with a match-winning 177 against England—the highest-ever Champions Trophy score.
India batting great Virat Kohli earned the number three spot, amassing 218 runs at an average of 54.50.
His unbeaten century against Pakistan and a crucial 84 in the semi-final against Australia highlighted his influence.
Shreyas Iyer, top run-scorer for India with 243 runs, and KL Rahul, averaging 140 with unbeaten knocks in the semi-final and final, also impressed.
New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips secured the number six position, delivering exceptional batting performances and stunning catches.
His diving one-handed catch to dismiss Shubman Gill in the final was among the tournament’s highlights.
All-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai earned his place through valuable contributions with both bat and ball, securing seven wickets and scoring 126 runs.
Mitchell Santner was appointed captain of the Team, having played a decisive role with nine wickets, including crucial dismissals in the final.
India’s Mohammed Shami and New Zealand’s Matt Henry, the highest wicket-taker of the event with ten wickets, were also selected.
Varun Chakravarthy, who took nine wickets in just three matches, completed the bowling lineup. Axar Patel was chosen as the 12th man.
The selection panel included Ian Bishop, Simon Doull, Aaron Finch, Rasesh Mandani, and Gaurav Saxena.
