A total lunar eclipse is set to take place on the night of September 7, 2025, offering a spectacular celestial display fully visible across Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and several other Arab countries.

According to Majid Abu Zahra, head of the Saudi Astronomical Society, the Moon will pass through the Earth’s shadow, creating a reddish-yellow glow—a phenomenon commonly known as a “blood moon.” He described the eclipse as a noteworthy event for astronomy enthusiasts and sky watchers alike.

In Pakistan, the eclipse will begin with the penumbral phase at 8:28 PM (local time), followed by a partial eclipse at 9:27 PM. The total eclipse will start at 10:31 PM, reaching its peak at 11:12 PM, and ending at 11:53 PM.

The final penumbral stage will conclude at 1:55 AM on September 8. All phases will be visible from across the country, weather permitting.

The eclipse will also be seen across wide regions of Asia, Europe, Africa, and Australia. Unlike the earlier eclipse of March 2025, which was not visible in Saudi Arabia, this one will be fully observable there.

Experts note that the eclipse can be viewed safely with the naked eye, though binoculars or telescopes may enhance the experience. Clear skies will be key to viewing the full spectacle.
