Billions of rupees have been taken out of Pakistan’s Federal Consolidated Fund without the knowledge or approval of the federal government. The matter came to light when the Peshawar High Court suspended an order from a lower court in Nowshera that had directed the attachment of the fund.

Sources say a network has been using court cases filed in the names of families affected by disasters and accidents to secure compensation payments. These cases are often filed without informing the government, and courts have reportedly issued payment orders directly to the federal government.
The State Bank of Pakistan is said to have carried out these orders without checking their legality or asking for approval.

Sindh has been identified as a center for such cases, with many questionable claims leading to large sums being withdrawn. ProPakistani contacted the State Bank of Pakistan for comment, but no response was received at the time of reporting.
