The iconic Eden Gardens in Kolkata is set to host both the opening match and the final of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025.
The event will get underway on 22 March, with defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) facing Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).
The final game of the money-rich cricket league will be staged at the Eden Gardens on 25 May.
This marks the first time since 2015 that Kolkata will host the title clash. Qualifier 2 is also scheduled at Eden Gardens on 23 May.
The other two playoff fixtures will be played in Hyderabad, home of the 2024 runners-up, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).
Qualifier 1 will be held on 20 May, followed by the Eliminator on 21 May.
The upcoming season will span 74 matches over 65 days, with 12 double-headers, including a CSK-MI clash on 23 March.
Guwahati, Visakhapatnam, and Dharamsala will once again serve as secondary venues for certain teams.
Punjab Kings will play three consecutive home games in Dharamsala between 4 and 11 May.
The league format remains unchanged, with teams divided into two groups. Each side will play 14 matches in the group stage, leading up to the playoffs.
