Lahore Qalandars have received a timely reinforcement ahead of their high-pressure Eliminator clash against Karachi Kings in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10. Bangladesh all-rounder Mehidy Hasan Miraz has officially joined the squad as a replacement for Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, who has left to join Zimbabwe’s Test team in England.

The Qalandars confirmed Mehidy’s arrival via social media, expressing excitement over the addition of the spin-bowling all-rounder. This marks his second opportunity to be part of a franchise T20 league, and he described the chance to play in the PSL as a valuable learning experience.

Although he may play only one match, Mehidy stated that he views this as an important step in sharpening his skills and pushing for a return to Bangladesh’s T20I side. He is currently not part of the national team’s ongoing T20 series against the UAE or the upcoming fixtures in Pakistan.

The Qalandars also recently included veteran Bangladesh cricketer Shakib Al Hasan in their lineup. However, his debut outing this season against Peshawar Zalmi proved challenging, as he was dismissed on the first ball and failed to take a wicket in two overs.

The Qalandars face Karachi Kings at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium on May 22.
