Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal General Syed Asim Munir, is expected to visit Washington, DC this week to take part in the 250th anniversary celebrations of the United States Army, according to local media reports published on Wednesday.

General Munir is likely to arrive in the US capital on June 12 and attend the main celebration events scheduled for June 14. While the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has yet to confirm the visit, the presence of Pakistan’s top military leader at the historic occasion would reflect the continuing engagement between the armed forces of both countries.
