The government has lifted a three-year ban on new domestic gas connections, introducing a fresh policy framework to help households access affordable energy.
Consumers can now apply online for the new RLNG connections through Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC).
According to the Petroleum Ministry official statement, the initiative aims to simplify the process of apply and ensure convenience for the consumers.
Dedicated project management units will be established within both Sui companies to track applications and resolve complaints efficiently.
It is pertinent to mention here that Regasified Liquefied Natural Gas is about 30 percent cheaper than LPG and considered a safer household fuel option.

Consumers who had already applied for natural gas in the past and paid the demand note will be granted RLNG connections upon payment of the security fee and remaining charges.

Applications can also be submitted at local Sui offices.
The demand notice fee for regular connections is Rs18,000, while urgent processing may cost Rs80,000. Imported LNG connections will vary by house size, starting from Rs40,000 for 5–10 marla homes.
