Punjab’s Green E-Taxi Scheme 2025 is set to provide 1,100 eco-friendly taxis to unemployed youth through an interest-free instalment plan. Here’s a breakdown of how applicants can apply online.
To begin, candidates must access the official scheme portal. Registration requires a CNIC and mobile number, verified via OTP. Applicants can then select their city and vehicle type—electric or hybrid.
The next step is document submission. Required documents include CNIC, valid driving licence, passport-sized photograph, domicile certificate or utility bill, and bank account details. For those seeking more than one vehicle, NTN or business documents may also be needed.
After uploading documents, the system digitally verifies details and generates tasks for the relevant authorities. Successful candidates will then complete bank formalities before receiving a delivery schedule.

The eligibility bar is set for fairness: Pakistani citizens with Punjab domicile, aged 21–45, low-income background, valid CNIC, and driving licence. Applicants with criminal records or high incomes may face disqualification.
Payments will be interest-free, with affordable down payments and manageable monthly instalments. Upon completion, full ownership of the vehicle will be transferred to the applicant.
The scheme includes 30 reserved vehicles for women, ensuring greater inclusivity in Punjab’s transport sector.
Authorities have encouraged early applications, as the deadline will be published only on the official portal. The initiative is expected to both reduce unemployment and cut pollution levels, aligning Punjab with modern clean energy transport trends.
