Punjab Police has announced recruitment for nearly 300 Sub-Inspector (SI) positions across multiple regions of the province.

The hiring drive aims to strengthen law enforcement and address challenges such as illegal encroachments. The vacancies are distributed on open merit, minority, and female quotas.

Lahore has been allocated 29 seats, Rawalpindi 39, Gujranwala 45, Faisalabad 30, Multan 30, and other districts in proportion. In total, 240 posts are on open merit, 30 under minority quota, and 25 reserved for women candidates.

Eligibility requires a bachelor’s degree with at least 2nd Division from a recognized university. Applicants must be between 20 and 25 years of age, with no relaxation permitted.

Applications can be submitted online, and eligible candidates will undergo written, physical, and interview stages before final selection.

Earlier this week, Pakistan Railways launched a major recruitment drive aimed at improving passenger safety, internal management, and asset protection nationwide.

In the initial phase, over 1,000 officials will be recruited, including 81 Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) and 914 constables. Applicants seeking ASI positions must have at least an intermediate qualification, while matriculation is the minimum requirement for constable posts.
