In a shocking and tragic incident, a young woman was fatally shot by her father in Rawalpindi after she allegedly refused to deactivate her TikTok account.

The incident occurred in the Dhoke Chohdrian, Takht Pari area, which falls under the jurisdiction of Ruat Police Station. The victim, identified as Mehak Shehzadi, reportedly got into an argument with her father over her continued use of the popular video-sharing platform TikTok.

According to police officials, the father became enraged during the altercation and shot Mehak in a fit of anger, resulting in her death on the spot.

A First Information Report (FIR) was filed based on the statement of Head Constable Shehbaz Anjum Kayani, confirming that the act was intentional. Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene, and a manhunt is currently underway to locate and arrest him.

The case has sparked widespread outrage on social media, with citizens demanding justice for the victim and stricter laws against domestic violence and so-called honor-based crimes.
