A new electric vehicle has arrived in Pakistan, as Alektra has launched its Metro EV in both 2 door and 4 door models. PakWheels shared the first details, including prices, battery choices, and booking requirements.
The Metro EV comes with three lithium battery 7.2 kWh, 10.8 kWh, and 12.96 kWh. With these batteries, the company claims a driving range of 80 km to 180 km on a full charge, depending on the variant.
The prices start at Rs. 1.095 million for the 2 door version, while the 4 door model begins at Rs. 1.295 million. Alektra is also offering a Rs. 50,000 flat discount on all variants for customers who book their vehicle before 30 November 2025.
This launch comes at a time when interest in electric mobility is increasing in Pakistan. High fuel prices and restrictions on imported petrol vehicles are pushing many people to look for cheaper and cleaner alternatives. However, the future of the Metro EV will depend on factors like durability, after sales support, and whether Pakistan can expand its charging infrastructure fast enough.
For now, the Metro EV enters the market as an affordable electric option. But its long term success will depend on how it performs in daily use and how quickly EV facilities grow in the country.
The company has set the booking amount at 20% of the invoice price, and the estimated delivery time is around 90 days. Alektra is promoting the Metro EV as a smart choice for city travel, but real world performance, maintenance costs, and charging convenience will become clear only after more people start using it.
