A man accused of sexually assaulting a young girl in Multan has been arrested by police, following an armed confrontation that left him injured. The incident took place in Al-Mustafa Colony on July 15 and was captured on CCTV, which has since emerged as evidence in the case.

Multan police said the arrest was made during a targeted operation. According to officials, the suspect opened fire on the police team when they arrived to detain him. Officers returned fire, injuring the man, who was then moved to Nishtar Hospital under custody for medical treatment.

A police spokesperson confirmed that the same individual is also facing a murder charge in a separate case, accused of killing his own brother. That case is currently registered at the B-Zone Police Station in Multan.

Authorities stated that investigations are ongoing and more details are expected to surface as the inquiry progresses. The newly surfaced CCTV footage has become a key part of the investigation into the alleged assault.
