Security forces responded swiftly, engaging the militants in a fierce gunfight and neutralizing all five attackers. A clearance operation was conducted, ensuring the area was secure. Officials vowed that the perpetrators and their facilitators would be brought to justice.
Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Zulfiqar Hameed said the operation was successfully completed and confirmed that the militants’ plans to storm the facility were foiled. He highlighted that while terrorism incidents have increased in southern districts, police operations against militants have also risen by 25 percent this year.
