As many as 47 Pakistani nationals were deported in a single day from Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan, and other countries over alleged illegal activities.

Sources say Saudi Arabia deported six Pakistanis for drug trafficking, while Azerbaijan expelled four, declaring them “unwelcome.”

The details further show that deportations involved four individuals who attempted unlawful entry into Malaysia and Iraq.

Pakistani nationals were also returned from Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe, bringing the total number of deportees to 47.

In a separate development, at least 30 Pakistani passengers were offloaded from international flights at Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport.

Immigration officials stated that the group included 14 Umrah pilgrims bound for Saudi Arabia, who faced issues related to hotel bookings and insufficient travel funds.

Others among those offloaded were travellers intending to work in Iraq, Malaysia, Iran, and other countries.

Two passengers scheduled to fly to the United Kingdom and Azerbaijan were also prevented from boarding.

Meanwhile, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) detained five passengers returning from Mauritania at the same airport.

The individuals, hailing from Hafizabad, Gujranwala, and Swat, disclosed that agents had charged them between Rs2.5 million and Rs3.5 million for illegal transit to Europe.

They had travelled through Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar before reaching Mauritania, but opted to return after refusing a hazardous sea journey to Europe.
