In a major counterterrorism breakthrough, Pakistan’s security forces have neutralized 14 Indian-sponsored terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the Datta Khel region of North Waziristan, according to a statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operation was carried out between June 2 and 3, 2025, targeting militants linked to the Indian proxy group “Fitna al Khwarij”. The terrorists were engaged in an intense firefight, which resulted in their elimination.

“Sanitization operations are ongoing to clear the area of any remaining elements,” ISPR stated. “Pakistan’s security forces remain resolute in their mission to eradicate Indian-sponsored terrorism.”

This operation comes days after seven Indian-backed militants were eliminated in separate operations in Balochistan.

In the first incident, security forces conducted an IBO in Mach, Kachhi District, resulting in the killing of five terrorists belonging to the group Fitna al Hindustan. A second IBO in Margand, Kalat District, saw two more terrorists neutralized after a hideout was busted.

During these operations, large quantities of weapons, ammunition, and explosives were recovered. The killed militants were reportedly involved in various acts of terror and subversion across the region.
