The Pakistan Army has officially released the casualty details from the recent confrontation with India, now being remembered as Marka-e-Haq—a symbolic term for what authorities describe as a landmark defensive operation ensuring national sovereignty.
According to a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), 11 soldiers embraced martyrdom and 78 personnel sustained injuries during Operation Bunyan-un-Marsus, launched in response to Indian hostilities on May 6 and 7.

From the Air Force, Squadron Leader Usman Yousuf, Chief Technician Aurangzeb, Senior Technician Najeeb, Senior Technician Mubashir, and Corporal Technician Farooq were named among those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
In a tragic extension of the conflict, 40 civilians, including seven women and 15 children, lost their lives due to Indian shelling across the Line of Control (LoC), while 121 others were injured—among them 27 children and 10 women.
“The martyrs are the pride of the nation. Their sacrifice will always be remembered. We pray for the swift recovery of all injured,” said an ISPR spokesperson. “There should be no ambiguity about Pakistan’s determination in the face of aggression.”
