Woman Charged After Shooting Incident at Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Mansion

A frightening security incident took place at the Los Angeles home of global music star Rihanna, after a woman allegedly fired several gunshots at the property. Authorities say the suspect has now been charged with serious criminal offenses following the incident.

According to investigators, the shooting happened on March 8, 2026, at Rihanna’s mansion in Beverly Hills, located in Los Angeles. Police say the suspect, identified as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, allegedly fired a semi-automatic weapon multiple times toward the house.

At the time of the incident, Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, and their children were reportedly inside the residence. Fortunately, authorities confirmed that no one was injured during the shooting.

Police quickly responded to the scene and arrested Ortiz shortly after the incident. The motive behind the shooting is still under investigation, and officials have not yet revealed why the suspect targeted the property.

On March 9, Ortiz appeared in court and was formally charged with several felony offenses. The charges include one count of attempted murder, ten counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, and three counts of shooting at an inhabited dwelling or vehicle.

Due to the seriousness of the case, the court ordered Ortiz to remain in custody. Bail has been set at $1.8 million. During her initial court appearance, her attorney entered a not guilty plea. However, that plea was later withdrawn, and the arraignment has been postponed until March 25.

The judge overseeing the case, Theresa McGonigle, also issued a protective order. The order prohibits Ortiz from contacting or approaching Rihanna and A$AP Rocky.

If Ortiz is convicted of all the charges against her, she could face life in prison. Legal experts say the felony counts carry very serious penalties.

Public records show that Ortiz has worked as a licensed speech pathologist for more than ten years. Her most recent known address is in Orlando, located in the state of Florida.

This is not the first time the singer has faced a security threat. In 2018, another person broke into one of Rihanna’s homes and was later charged with several crimes, including stalking.

Authorities continue to investigate the latest incident to determine the suspect’s motives and any possible connections to the singer.
