The district administration of Haripur has intensified its anti dengue campaign in a bid to curb the spread of the mosquito-borne disease, officials confirmed on Monday.

According to district health authorities, field teams are carrying out large-scale mechanical removal of dengue vectors by targeting areas most prone to mosquito breeding. The teams are clearing stagnant water, cleaning drains, and removing containers or discarded items where water can collect, creating ideal conditions for dengue larvae.

“Community participation is critical. Households and neighborhoods are being encouraged to keep their surroundings clean and to eliminate potential breeding grounds,” an official said.
